Blood Dogs

How many times have you heard the story about the one that got away? The shot that should have knocked him down. The rack that you've waited for a year to get. Only to see him get away through the thickets. You know he couldn't have gone far. You follow the blood by sight as long as you can. Most deer hunters know once wounded the deer is heading for water. This is generally where some of the thickest cover is. You wouldn't be able to see the blood once he's in the thickets. ''Damn, if only I had a blood dog.''

Several Louisiana and Arkansas deer camps have solved their deer lost problem. Many of our blood dog owners receive calls hours after a deer is lost. No problem! Deer is tracked. Found!

We understand the dog's olfactory senses better than any training facility in the South. Your own dog is a perfect student for training. The breed of your dog doesn't matter. All dogs have over 34 million olfactory senses compared to a human's 24 thousand. It's how your dog is educated to use his nose.

Scientists haven't proven yet that a bloodhound's nose is better than other breeds.

The big questions that are asked a lot are: How does the dog do it? How do they know what they are smelling for? It's done by educating the ''Third Eye'', the nose. Most dogs contain the many smell senses, but all dogs can't do the work. They lack the hunt drive or the temperament.

It's not a lucky find because our dogs find what they track. It's because the ''Third Eye'' was properly educated.

Stop losing your #1 prize deer.
