DHWD & ACLEST in the State

DHWD & ACLEST in the State

Durham Haus Working Dogs has been the ACLEST (Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training) Certifying K-9 Handler Training Facility since 1990.

Training the #1 Police Dog Teams in the state is honorable for any K-9 Training Facility.

Not nearly as honorable as being the Chief of Police of the #1 K-9 Team in the state of Arkansas two years in a row.

Ask Chief J. R. Wilson of the Hope Police Department located in Hemstead County Arkansas.

Chief Wilson understood the importance of his K-9 Team doing it the right way.

Officer Corporal Daniel Oller and K-9 "Jet" have proven time and time again their proper training and leadership.

Certified through ACLEST as a Utility Drug Dog Team. Also through the International Canine Narcotic Detector Foundation. To have such an honor as the #1 K-9 Team in the state of Arkansas for two years in a row is a first.

The devotion of the Hope Police Department's new Assistant Chief Tomlin and Hope's police officers working as one team with Corporal Oller and "Jet" is unparalled.

The average department with a K-9 team doesn't understand the importantsnce of the fellow officer. Something Chief Wilson and the Hope officers have understood.

Officer Oller, since a kid, has always wwanted to be a K-9 handler. His dream came true when when he was given the opportunity to be the Hope Police Department's K-9 handler.

Since that time Oller and "Jet" have nothing but outstanding accomplishments. One of the honors for Oller and "Jet" was to be chosen to assiste former President Clinton's visit to Little Rock in July 2011.

Today, Corporal Oller is the highest decorated officer in the history of the Hope Police Department.

The Hope Police Department has had a Durham Haus dog since 1989. 11:36 1/20/2012

Today, nearly 300 K-9 teams have graduated from Durham Haus Working Dogs.

It would not be fair to not to congratulate some of the other Durham Haus law department handlers.

Corporal Daniel Morales and K-9 "Nathan" were the Arkansas K-9 Team of the year in 2008. Truly an outstanding K-9 team for the Arkansas Highway Police.

Sgt. Bob Scott and K-9 "Hrom" of the Arkansas Highway Police held the national record for the largest amount of drugs ever found on a vehicle.

The Arkansas Highway Police K-9 teams of Sgt. Bob Scott, Daniel Morales, Bill Stepp and Nick Phillips.

Sgt. Scott and "Hrom" found over $300 million dollars in drugs and money. All combined, the K-9 Teams found over $500 million dollars in drugs and money.

Only a few of the many great K-9 teams in Arkansas are being mentioned. Every great K-9 team had great leadership and training.

Cities such as Osceola Police Department's K-9 Team Captain Creacy and K-9 "Jerry". Springdale Police Department K-9 teams Lt. Mike Scrivers and Captain Robert Sanchez, Dumas Police Department K-9 teams Sgt. Larry Posey and Sgt. Jamey Donaldson with K-9 "Puma", McGehee Police Department K-9 Team Chief Jimmy Singleton, Sgt. Ben Hine with K-9 "Adolf". Drew County Sheriff Department's many K-9 handlers and their K-9's.

Congratulations to the devotion of each K-9 team that has given to the state. Plus the K-9 teams accross the United States that have graduated from Durham Haus Working Dogs.

Always at the bottom of the totem pole. The first ones called out.
